I created this scene from the experience of the long and late nights in the computer labs at school with my classmates. The buildings lights would shut off past a certain hour, so we would bring flashlights and camping lanterns to be able to see - and sometimes we would take power naps on our keyboards. I worked to convey this feeling of burning the midnight oil by developing a natural vignette in the lighting with contrast, color, and saturation - the night of the dark office is trying to close in, but the lamps and work lights are keeping it at bay.
